New Look For CSA Databases

Users of Agricola, Aquatic Sciences and Fisheries Abstracts, ERIC (CSA version), GeoRef, Social Services Abstracts, Sociological Abstracts, Worldwide Political Science Abstracts, and the Sage fulltext Criminology and Nursing collections take note: the database provider is changing its search platform.

JSTOR Announces New Search Engine & Interface

JSTOR, an online archive of scholarly collections provided by UNB Libraries, has advised that they are scheduled to release a new search engine and interface on January 19th, 2005.

Barring any unforeseen technical difficulties, the new search engine will replace the existing one beginning at approximately 8:00 a.m. EST.

Fulltext For Kluwer Online Journals Unavailable

Kluwer Online has been experiencing difficulties with the delivery of its fulltext content. Users may search or browse the web site but clicking on a fulltext link will generally result in a pay-per-view login request.

Kluwer does not anticipate restoring service until Saturday and possibly even SUnday.

ATLA Religion Database Added

UNB Libraries wish to advise that access is now available to the ATLA Religion Database.

The ATLA Religion Database is the premier indexing resource to journal articles, book reviews, and collections of essays in all fields of religious studies, and includes topics such as biblical studies, world religions, church history and religion in social issues.

New SAGE Online Journal Collection: Nursing & Health Sciences

UNB Libraries has just licensed a new collection of 26 fulltext online journals in the field of Nursing and Health Sciences. Several of the journals are accessible back to the 1980s, and over 6,000 articles are available. The collection includes such major Nursing titles as the Western Journal of Nursing Research (back to 1985) and Nursing Science Quarterly.

The UNB and STU community now has online access to Health and Psychosocial Instruments (HaPI), a bibliographic database with abstracts that is produced by Behavioral Measurement Database Services (BMDS).
