Each of our campus libraries will be offering quiet study space and extended hours during the April exam period. Hours are as follows:

The Library Literature and Information Science database is now available at UNB Libraires.

UNB Libraries has just activated an online subscription to the Encyclopedia of Genetics, Genomics, Proteomics and Bioinformatics.

UNB Libraries will be holding a special book sale on Thursday, March 31 and Friday, April 1 from 9-12 am and 1-4 pm. The sale will take place in the basement of HIL (follow the signs). There is a large selection of books and the prices are excellent. All proceeds will go towards purchasing monographs for UNB Libraries.

Ageline, the gerontology database, in now available from the UNB Libraries’ website (under e-Resources >> Indexes and Abstracts).

UNB Libraries is pleased to offer students and faculty access to Naxos Music Library.

The Eileen Wallace Children’s Literature Collection at the University of New Brunswick will be hosting a public lecture by Research Fellow, Dr. Farah Mendlesohn of Middlesex University. The lecture “What’s Wrong with Children’s Science Fiction?” will address the differences between children’s science fiction and full science fiction.

On 2/15/2005 we will deploy an update to the ebrary site including new ebrary Reader plugin software. We expect no down time for the update, however active users will lose their sessions and may be forced to log in again to the site.

The newest data file from the Statistics Canada/Academic Libraries Data Liberation Initiative is the Canadian Community Health Survey.

An exhibit to commemorate the 150th anniversary of engineering at the University of New Brunswick has been available for viewing in the H.R. Stewart Exhibition Room (5th Floor, Harriet Irving Library) Monday-Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. since September 2004.
