More Computers – HIL 5th Floor

Looking for more computer space in HIL?   When Learning Commons areas are busy, try taking the elevator to HIL’s 5th floor and you’ll discover a new lab open for students Monday – Thursday (8:30am-9:00pm), Friday (8:30am-4:30pm).  Lab is closed on weekends.

All PCs are login and the area is restricted to quiet research. Neither food nor drinks are permitted in this lab.

Students can also check availability of lab PCs across both UNB campuses by clicking on UNB’s Lab Display site at:

Look no further!  UNB Libraries have created a comprehensive H1N1 subject guide to assist you at:

Our guide is intended for all members of the university community, from health sciences students and practitioners right through to the broader student, faculty and staff population.

Under the “Find Articles” link, you’ll discover a Ref-share list of 100 peer-reviewed journal articles dealing with H1N1.  Links are also available to multiple H1N1-related websites alongside key reference sources licensed by UNB Libraries. You can also check the continually updated newsfeed that draws in articles from major news sources.

Our libraries anticipate that this new guide will assist in providing clarity and insight about the H1N1 pandemic.

Corrections – APA Style Guide (6th Edition)

In July 2009, the American Psychological Association (APA) published a new Sixth edition of their Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association.

Several errors have been discovered in the 1st printing of the Sixth edition and APA is providing a PDF noting the corrections at:

A link to the corrections also appears in the Quest catalogue record for the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association.

Our libraries will be replacing 1st printing copies of the APA Style Guide with corrected 2nd printings post haste.

Current Trials – New Products

UNB Libraries is pleased to offer faculty, students and staff the opportunity to test-drive a variety of electronic products offered to our librarians for evaluation purposes

To access any of the electronic products currently under trial, place your mouse over Resources/Collections in the red navigation bar on the library homepage>> select Current Trials from the drop-down menu and you will be directed to the following URL:
