UNB Libraries is proud to announce that a site-wide license has been obtained for members of our university community to access RefWorks, a web-based bibliographic management service.

Archives & Special Collections – Closing Early August 17

Archives & Special Collections in the Harriet Irving Library will close for public service at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17.

Regular hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. will resume on Thursday, August 18.

Quest Catalogue Unavailable – Saturday (Aug. 13)

Due to scheduled power interruptions on the UNB campus this Saturday, August 13, our Quest Catalogue will be unavailable between the hours of 9:00am- 4:00pm.

Power interruptions may also cause intermittent and/or sustained disruptions in access to other library servers and services.

UNB Libraries apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.

John Teskey Assumes Canadian Association Of Research Libraries’s Presidency

The Canadian Association of Research Libraries (CARL) is pleased to announce that John Teskey has assumed the presidency of the Association for a two-year term. John Teskey is Director of Libraries at UNB (Fredericton).

A reminder that the registration deadline for the Summer Seminar Series offered by the Electronic Text Centre (ETC) at the University of New Brunswick (Fredericton) is fast approaching and there are spaces available.

The Summer Seminar Series, which runs from August 2-13, consists of five workshops exploring issues in scholarly communication.

UNB Libraries has acquired The Encyclopedia of Information Science and Technology in both print and electronic formats.

Colossal Book Sale

UNB Libraries will be holding a book sale on Wednesday, June 1 and Thursday, June 2 from 12 noon to 8 p.m. in the basement of the Harriet Irving Library.

The selection of books is excellent and the prices are reasonable. All proceeds will be used to purchase new monographs for the library.
