Nicole Slipp
she/her/hers
Collections Strategy Librarian
UNB Saint John
I have been a librarian since 2020 and came to this role at UNB Libraries in summer 2025. Part of my job is to act as liaison to the Department of Humanities and Languages; that covers Humanities, English, Philosophy, French, and Spanish courses.
I am from Saint John, and I got my first degree, a Bachelor of Arts Honours, from UNBSJ. I earned an MA from the University of Toronto and a PhD from Queen's University in English Literature, and finally my MLIS from Dalhousie University.
I am happy to help with any research question relating to Humanities, English, Philosophy, French or Spanish, e.g. finding sources for papers, learning how to use a citation manager like Zotero, search strategies, or evaluating sources. I can also answer questions about information literacy in general, or the library's many resources and collections, including special collections like our Science Fiction and Fantasy Collection.
You can get in touch with me using the "book a meeting" button, by email at nicole.slipp@unb.ca, or by phone at 506-648-5912.
