UNB Libraries is pleased to announce the availability of the World Shakespeare Bibliography Online. The World Shakespeare Bibliography Online provides brief, annotated entries for important Shakespeare-related publications on an international scale, from 1964 onward. The bibliography includes entries for:
- Books and book chapters;
- Articles;
- Dissertations;
- Reviews of books and stage productions;
- Theatrical productions (including personnel), and;
- Audiovisual and electronic media.
Since 1950, the printed World Shakespeare Bibliography has been published in conjunction with Shakespeare Quarterly, providing an annual index to publications devoted to the life and works of William Shakespeare. The printed bibliography will cease publication in 2005, to be replaced by the World Shakespeare Bibliography Online. The online bibliography will be updated at regular intervals to include newly published materials, and to complete the incorporation of older issues of the print bibliography (1950 – 1963).
The World Shakespeare Bibliography Online can be accessed through the Indexes and Abstracts page (available via the eResources drop down menu) on the UNB Libraries web site.
Questions or comments about the World Shakespeare Bibliography Online can be addressed to the librarian for English Literature, James MacKenzie (jmackenz@unb.ca or 458-7058).
