Winter Booster III: The Images of Research Challenge
Co-sponsored with the UNB School of Gradute Studies
Presented by Marc Bragdon (UNB Libraries) & Dr. Nicole Boudreau (former Dean of Arts and Sciences, University of Maine)
Images of Research is the annual event that invites UNB graduate students to submit a single image, with accompanying text, that best communicates the essence of their research. Marc Bragdon (Librarian Head, HIL Research Commons, and audio/video creative) will discuss entry guidelines and the factors that make for a winning submission (spoiler alert: every image tells a story).
Dr. Nicole Boudreau (former Dean of Arts and Sciences, University of Maine, and principal at nicoleboudreauphoto.com) will discuss aesthetic and creative considerations for elevating one's idea to the realm of art. The goal of the Images of Research Challenge is to provide an opportunity to practice communicating your particular awesomeness to a broad audience, recognizing that it isn't always obvious how this can be done. Come out to find out.
