IPod Winner Announced

This news post is more than one year old. Some information may have changed.

The draw for the 20 GB iPod provided courtesy of CompuSmart (Fredericton) took place at 10am on December 1 at the Harriet Irving Library.

John Teskey, the Director of UNB Libraries, did the honours and reached into our barrel of approx. 400 entries to draw out the name of the lucky winner — Dave Barna. Dave is a full-time student at UNB.

Congratulations Dave! Many thanks to all UNB and STU students who took part.

The Win an iPod Contest proved to be a very successful promotion at UNB Libraries. There was over a 400% increase in the number of students who took a tour of the Harriet Irving Library in September 2005.

Student attendance also more than doubled for our libraries’ Cool Tools research series this year.

Our sincere thanks go to our friends at CompuSmart for their support. Don’t forget to keep CompuSmart in mind for all your computer needs this holiday season. Their new location is 1211 Prospect Street in Fredericton.
