ebrary has expanded access to much of our licensed content beyond its website and launched two new ways to download entire e-books.
Complete downloads to a wide range of devices
Many ebrary e-books available to UNB Libraries are now available for downloading to a computer or a portable device. Most downloadable e-books are available for a 14-day period. Supported devices include most desktop and laptop computers, plus the iPad, iPhone/iPod Touch, Kobo, Nook, and Sony Reader. (Please note that, at present, Kindle only supports partial downloads).
In order to download entire e-books, you must have an ebrary bookshelf account, the Adobe Digital Editions software, and an Adobe account. All are free and the accounts are not related to your UNB/STU login information. Some devices will require the use of another piece of software to transfer e-books. Complexity varies with device and platform. A “Download” button will appear on any title that is eligible for the 14-day loan.

New ebrary Mobile App for iPads and iPhones
ebrary has also released its own free iPad/iPhone app that allows patrons to search for and read UNB Libraries’ licensed ebrary content. Titles can be saved for offline reading. Use of the app also requires ebrary and Adobe accounts.
