Consensus AI
Trial subscription available until September 2026
Consensus is in a class of AI applications that specifically indexes and analyzes academic content. These applications typically provide tiers of functionality scaled to a subscriber's willingness to pay. In the case of Consensus AI, UNB has institutional access to the "Pro" tier under a trial license ending in late September 2026.
This opens up considerable functionality including authenticated (click through) access to UNB subscribed content such as academic journals. Note that while query results can appear thorough and even dazzling in their multifaceted analyses and syntheses of source material, coverage is not necessarily comprehensive and much of the information is processed from abstracts only.
Consensus also allows for uploading papers (and it provides for Zotero online library syncing), performing queries on these, and producing bibliographies.
