Calling All Coffee Lovers!

The Harriet Irving Library Commons Café is now serving New Brunswick’s own JavaMoose Coffee.

At the start of the new academic year, all St. Thomas University faculty and staff members are invited to attend the 2013 Library Showcase of resources and services. Tailored specifically to STU, librarians and other staff from UNB Libraries will focus on resources and services most relevant to teaching and research in the social sciences, humanities, and professions.

All UNB Fredericton faculty members are invited to the library’s annual faculty showcase of resources and services, to be held in the Milham Room of the Harriet Irving Library, on Wednesday, Aug. 21, from 8:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Session topics will include new library e-resources, library apps, copyright, film streaming, and more.

The Harriet Irving Library is holding a special book sale in aid of the Alicho Wuriro Reading Room in Ethiopia. The books are in very good condition without library labels or other markings. The collection includes a significant number of collectable children’s books as well as lovely books on art, gardening, Persian carpets and antiques.

This session is scheduled for Friday, January 25th, 2013 (12:15-1:15pm) in the Milham Room at the Harriet Irving Library and includes a brief overview of the UNB Copyright Guidelines and an update on the recent changes to the Canadian Copyright Act regarding classroom copying and distribution.
