Birds of North America Online (BNA) is a joint project between the American Ornithologists’ Union, the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, and the Academy of Natural Sciences.
This reference tool is searchable by topic and keyword, and includes information on the 716 species of birds nesting in the USA and Canada, conservation and management issues, details of nature, timing, and routes of migration, and a comprehensive bibliography for each species. In addition, BNA Online provides access to images and video galleries showing behaviours, habitat, nests, eggs and nestlings, as well as recordings of bird songs and calls.
To take BNA Online for a test drive, go to our library website and select e-Resources >> Reference Materials, and then choose Birds of North America Online from the title list.
