Copyright sessions with an emphasis on the needs of course instructors continue to be offered periodically.  The session will include a brief presentation on UNB’s new Copyright Policy and Guidelines and a Q & A period.

The next session is scheduled for November 8 at 10:00 a.m. in HIL’s Milham Room (Rm. 100).  Additional sessions will be added in response to demand.  Please let us know if you or your Department or Faculty has an interest in having an additional session scheduled.  For further information, please contact Josh Dickison at jjd@unb.ca or 447-3378.

Spectrum UNB / STU’s GLBTQ Resource Group presents QUEERLY CANADIAN, a film series supported by the UNB English Department and UNBF Libraries.

The films will be shown in the Milham Room (Rm. 100) at the Harriet Irving Library.

Showtime is 7:00 pm.  Admission is free and all are welcome.

November 4th – The Hanging Garden.

The Department of English and the Harriet Irving Library present  Zombie October – a series of films to be held on Thursday evenings.

The screenings will take place in the Milham Room (Room 100) in the Harriet Irving Library.

Showtime is 8:00pm.  Admission is free, Everyone welcome!

This introductory session will focus on UNB Libraries’ Psychology Subject Guide, key Psychology reference sources, and how to use PsycINFO more effectively. Intended for undergraduate students.

The influenza (FLU) virus can live on some surfaces anywhere from a couple of hours up to a couple of days! Here are a few tips to help prevent catching a cold or the flu:

• Using household cleaners, clean regularly areas that are touched frequently, such as keyboards, doorknobs, sink water tap handles, phones, desktop surfaces, etc.
• Do not share water bottles or drinks.
• Wash your hands with hot soapy water frequently.
• Use hand sanitizer (60 to 90% alcohol based) when you do not have access to soapy water to wash your hands.
• Cough and sneeze into your sleeve to prevent spreading germs to others.
• If you are sick, try to isolate yourself from others when possible to avoid spreading germs.
