Confused about how to find journal articles in our libraries? UNB Libraries will be holding “Finding Journal Articles” workshops on the following dates:

* Mon, Feb 8: 2:30 – 4:00pm
* Thurs, Feb 18: 3:30 – 4:50pm
* Wed, Feb 24: 2:30 – 4:00pm

From choosing which library database is right for your research paper, to understanding why “peer-reviewed” articles are so important, to getting articles delivered right to your desktop (or laptop), these sessions will help you find your path to research success.

Writing Centre – Evening Drop-In Hours

UNB’s Writing Centre is offering students drop-in evening hours at the Harriet Irving Library’s Learning Commons (Room 116) on Tuesday and Thursdays from 6:00pm-10:00pm.

RefWorks Tutorials – Book Now!

Introductory RefWorks tutorials will be offered in Harriet Irving Library’s Learning Lab on the following dates:

* Thurs, Jan 28, 10:00am – 12:00pm
* Wed, Feb 17, 1:00 – 3:00pm

RefWorks is a tool for tracking the literature used in your research and assignments. Tutorials explain how to create and manage an account, import citations from research databases, and use the product to add references to your papers in the citation style of your choice.

International Film Series – Wednesday Evenings

UNB Libraries along with the Departments of English and Culture & Language Studies invite students, staff and faculty to their International Film Series on Wednesday evenings.

Screenings will take place in the Milham Room (Room 100) in the Harriet Irving Library. Showtime is 6:30 PM. Admission is free.

The schedule is as follows:

January 13 – Thirst (Korea)
January 20 – The Bubble (Israel)
January 27 – The Orphanage (Spain)
February 3 – The Headless Woman (Argentina)
