Film CollectionUNB Libraries has a wide variety of documentary and feature films collected to enhance the teaching and research objectives of our faculty.

Like to learn more about our film collection? Click //www.lib.unb.ca/filmResources/ to visit the web page or, if you’re in the Harriet Irving Library, browse the films located on the first floor, past the main stairwell.

Films marked in the UNB Libraries catalogue with the location WCL-VIDEO are part of the growing collection of films available at the Ward Chipman Library on the Saint John campus. If you’d like to browse this collection, you’ll find it at the end of the hallway by the washrooms on the second floor of the Ward Chipman Library.

RefWorksRefWorks is a web-based bibliographic database manager which allows you to create a database of citations that can be organized, searched and used to construct bibliographies and reading lists automatically.

Any member of our UNB or STU community can use RefWorks. For help getting started, click the Refworks page at //www.lib.unb.ca/RefWorks/ and follow the instructions to create your own account today.

Our libraries are offering extended hours prior to and during the upcoming exam period. Hours are listed below:

Monday – Friday 8:00 am – Midnight
Saturday – Sunday 10:00 am – Midnight

SCIENCE & FORESTRY LIBRARY (March 30 – April 23)

Monday – Sunday 8:00 am – Midnight

ENGINEERING LIBRARY (April 6 – April 23)

Monday – Thursday 8:00 am – Midnight
Friday 8:00 am – 11:00 pm
Saturday 10:00 am – 11:00 pm
Sunday 11:00 am – Midnight

WARD CHIPMAN LIBRARY – UNBSJ (March 19 – April 24)

Monday – Friday 8:15 am – 11:00 pm
Saturday – Sunday 11:00 am – 11:00 pm

Dictionary Of Literary Biography Now Online

UNB Libraries is pleased to announce that online access is now available to the complete version of the Dictionary of Literary Biography (DLB Online).

The DLB Online “provides more than 16,000 biographical and critical essays on the lives, works, and careers of the world’s most influential literary figures from all eras and genres.”

To access this new resource on UNB Libraries’ homepage, place your mouse over Resources/Collections >> select Reference Materials and type DLB into the title search box. You can also type DLB online into the Quest catalogue and click on the Electronic link for access.

Take the DLB for test-drive…we know you’re going to LOVE it!
