UNB Libraries Faculty Institute To Be Held August 18

This news post is more than one year old. Some information may have changed.

UNB librarians will present a series of talks, demonstrations, and hands-on sessions designed to introduce new faculty members to the libraries’ resources and services and to reacquaint existing faculty with new library services and collections.

Topics will include instruction and research services for faculty, an introduction to Quest (the Library catalogue), current awareness services available at UNB, and discussions of copyright and plagiarism issues. Demonstrations on how to link to library resources from WebCT or departmental web page will be available, and there will be advice on setting effective library assignments for classes.

The institute will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Aug.18, in the NRC Building on campus. Lunch will be provided. Admission is free to all faculty members. Please register on the UNB Coordinated Training and Development website at //www.unb.ca/ctd/.
