The revised web site for the University of New Brunswick (Fredericton)Libraries (//www.lib.unb.ca/) is now available for public use. The graphic design, underlying structure, and content have been reconstructed with the goals of improved consistency, coherence, clarity, visual navigablity, scalability, maintainability, standardization, and ease of loading across a range of platforms and browsers.
Among the enhancements to the site is the database-driven access to e-Reference Sources and e-Journals. This feature allows students and faculty to use a variety of modes for retrieving appropriate licensed electronic resources and to bookmark those that they use frequently. At the same time, the database structure allows library staff to maintain the links to these resources in a timely and cost-effective manner.
