INIS Database Now Available

This news post is more than one year old. Some information may have changed.

The INIS (International Nuclear Information System) database, maintained by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), is now available from the UNB Libraries’ website.

This database indexes scientific literature published worldwide on the peaceful applications of nuclear science and technology focusing on technical data, references, and bibliographies from the world’s biggest digital nuclear reference centres in fields of nuclear science and technology. Legal and social aspects associated with nuclear energy are included, as well as, from 1992, the economic and environmental aspects of all non-nuclear energy sources.

Dating from 1970 to the present, the information is updated weekly with an average of 60,000-80,000 records added annually.

To take INIS for a test-drive, select the Indexes & Abstracts area of the UNB Libraries website (under the e-Resources tab) and choose INIS from the list of databases provided.
