The UNB Libraries offers access for students, researchers and Staff to the largest North American data archive, the Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR), based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Now, researchers and students can download data files to their desktops on topics as varied as polls on terrorism following the events of 11 September 2001 to the various cycles of the World Values Survey.
Assistance in working with the documentation or in using these data files with standard statistical packages such as SPSS and SAS continues to be available through the ICPSR Official Representative, and users may still request pre-processed files (in SPSS portable or save format), if desired. As with many other licensed products, users must agree to abide by the licensing conditions in the download process. ICPSR Direct is available on the Data Services web page or through the ICPSR home page.
