The Nan Gregg Room on the 4th floor of HIL,  home of the Eileen Wallace Children’s Literature Collection, will be closed from Tuesday October 14th-Thursday October 16th for the installation of new carpet.

The Science & Forestry Library is offering a session about SciFinder Scholar (the search software used to access Chemical Abstracts) on Monday, October 27 from 1:30 – 3:30pm in Geology 106.

Like to learn more about the library’s documentary and feature film collection? Sign up for our “Cool Tools” Film Collection workshop.

The session will offer an introduction to the library’s film collection and look at the issues surrounding the role and the use of films for teaching and research. All faculty, students, and staff are welcome.

The pizza is free and the workshop just might prove to be invaluable!

Did you know that many library databases will let you save a search so that you don’t have to reconstruct it later on?

To find out more, sign up for a MyDatabases workshop at the Harriet Irving Library on either Nov. 4 or 5.

Students can scan photos, images or documents using a new scanning station situated in the HIL Learning Commons.

Basic instructions for use and copyright information are posted beside the scanner. Research Help Desk staff can offer assistance if necessary.
