Engineering Library Pilots New Photocopy System

This news post is more than one year old. Some information may have changed.

In collaboration with ITS, the Engineering Library has launched a pilot that enables print credit-based photocopying.

The new system offers students the option to swipe their University ID card through a reader device that unlocks the photocopier and photocopying proceeds in the usual manner. Photocopy charges are then deducted from the student’s print credit account.

Currently the pilot is only available at the Engineering Library and students are encouraged to drop by to take the new photocopy system for a test-drive.

Testing will ensure that any technical or operational issues are resolved prior to a gradual implementation of the technology at other locations.

Comments or questions about the pilot can be emailed to Steve Lelievre, Head – Engineering Library at lelievre@unb.ca.
