Open Scholarship & Applied Sciences Libr
UNB Fredericton
Hello! I’m a librarian based at the Fredericton campus, focused on Open Scholarship and supporting Computer Science. I always strive to be accessible to students, faculty and staff, to support their library and information needs, whatever they may be. Some of the tasks I can help you with include:
For students:
- Getting started using the library’s website and catalogue, or problem solving when you encounter issues.
- Utilizing reference management software, which helps keep track of the sources you use, and where you use them.
- Developing a research question, and turning this into a search for resources, including books, peer-reviewed articles, and grey literature.
For faculty/staff:
- All the above, and
- Creating, adapting or adopting Open Educational Resources (OER) for students
- Delivering workshops or teaching sessions for your students on topics varying from utilizing the library and finding sources for undergraduates, to finding the appropriate venue for publication/presentations and maintaining a scholarly profile for graduate students.
You can find me in the Harriet Irving Library (Rm. 116), on Teams or via email. I’m always happy to have a chat, even if you’re not sure exactly what you’re looking for yet!
