Courtesy of the Gerard V. La Forest Law Library, students, faculty and staff have access to a new resource – Parliament Rolls of Medieval England (PROME).
PROME contains the full-text, original documents from the meetings of the English parliaments from Edward I to Henry VII, covering the years from 1275 to 1504. PROME also offers modern translations and introductions to each individual parliament.
The information is laid out in an easy-to-use format that one can either browse or search. Researchers studying law, history, political science, and more will find this resource to be eminently useful.
You can access PROME from the UNB Libraries’ website at www.lib.unb.ca >> Article & Research Databases >> choose “Parliament Rolls of Medieval England” from the drop down database title list. Access is also available via the Law Library’s website at //law.unb.ca/library/.
If you have any questions about PROME, please feel free to contact Cathy Cotter, Reference/Instruction Librarian in the Law Library, at email@example.com or 447-3265.
