Metallic Heartache

Nickel Aluminum Bronze (NAB) alloy is well known for its excellent corrosion resistance, making it a popular choice for marine applications like ship propellers. Conducting corrosion tests is essential to assess the durability of additively manufactured NAB components in seawater. Discovering this heart-shaped pit after the test made me reflect on how we perceive disruptive phenomena like corrosion—perhaps integrating philosophy into science could offer new perspectives. Who knows?
