Encaenial Tree Planting

History: The first official tree planting ceremony took place in June 1925. At this ceremony a tree was planted in memory of each graduating class, up to and including the class of 1910. Prior to the introduction of the tree planting ceremony, the graduating class planted class ivy "in accordance with historic custom."
