Previous/other names: N/A

Prominent date(s) of activity: 1933

History: The Rifle Association was intended to encourage members of the Canadian Officers Training Corps to practice more frequently at the range.

Activities: The UNB Rifle Association entered teams into shooting competitions, such as the Inter-University Competition. In its first year of existence, the UNB team won the competition with a score "far superior to anythign recorded to date by any Canadian University team."

Note(s): The Rifle Association was inactive from 1935-1937 because of simultaneous renovations to both outdoor Devon Range and the rebuilding of the Armouries. The reopening of the Armouries in 1938 allowed the organization to resume its activities. The outdoor range was reopened in 1939.
