James Scott Mullan Fonds-Series 3

Series 3: Personal papers [textual records]. -- 1847-1888; predominant 1857-1868. -- 2 cm. two photographs

Scope and content: Series contains personal papers related to the life and career of Rev. J.S. Mullan, including letters of recommendation, licences, and certificates from his student days at Queen's College and from the period of his teaching career in Ontario. There are two reports from Mullan to the Queen's Students' Missionary Association. Series also contains some miscellaneous letters to J.S. Mullan, one letter likely written by him, a few draft sermons, and random notes on his Osnabruck congregation. In addition, there is a file of receipts from the Provincial Grand Orange Lodge of Central Canada for personal dues and lodge dues for private lodges. J.S. Mullan was a Lodge county master for West Durham Co., Ontario in the years 1865 to 1868. The series also includes two (2) photographs of James S. Mullan.
