Fieldwork in Rain or Shine... Or Snow

Two biologists look for invasive green crabs on the rocky shore in Alma, New Brunswick at low tide. At the Atomic Ecology Lab we use stable isotopes to investigate questions related to food web ecology and trophic interactions in aquatic ecosystems. This often requires sampling in all weather conditions and seasons. On this particular outing, it wasn't just the crabs that had to brave the cold Bay of Fundy waters!
