Statistics
The major source of demographic information comes from the Census of Population, conducted every five years by Statistics Canada. Statistics Canada releases these statistics for various audiences; several of the products or access routes are listed below:
- Census Profile from the 2021 Census of Population on the Statistics Canada site.
- Use Census Analyzer (UNB/STU restricted) to find statistics from previous census years.
- Data by Community, New Brunswick Health Council
- Communities at a Glance New Brunswick Health Council (2017)
Other sources of statistical information for New Brunswick include the financial and budgetary statistics in the provincial Department of Environment and Local Government's Annual Report of Municipal Statistics. These reports can be found at the bottom of ELG's Publications page.
