Boating Song

Lyrics:

Jolly boating weather, And a harvest breeze, Blade on a feather, Shade off the trees.

Swing, swing together

With your backs between you knees.

Skirting past the rushed, Ruffling o'er the weeds, Where the lock-stream gushes, Where the wild duck feeds.

Let us see how the wine-glass flushes

At supper beyond the meads.

Some may be more clever, Others may make more row, But we'll row on forever, Steady from stern to bow.

And youth will still be in our faces

As we cheer for the old time crew.

Twenty years hence this weather, May tempt us to go on a spree. We may be slow to feather, And seem to the boys N. G.

But we'll still swing together.

And swear by the U. N. B.
