Scope and content: This series includes over forty (40) examples of Carman's early poetry, both printed and in typescript, and also contains broadsides, Christmas pieces and offprints printed for private circulation. Of interest are plans for the contents, cover design and title page design for Birch Bark. There is one issue of Fair Topics - the organ of the Madison Square Garden actors' fund fair - for 1892, containing Carman's poem "The Players."
