Scope and Content: This series consists of both incoming and outgoing correspondence between the Associated Alumnae and various parties including Lord Beaverbrook, the CFUW, CAUT, UNB faculty, staff and students. Also included are internal memoranda among members of the Associated Alumnae. The subjects referred to in the correspondence are wide ranging and include the inception through completion of the Maggie Jean Chestnut Women’s Residence, various fund raising campaigns, publication of two books, scholarships and awards, and general day-to-day administrative memoranda. The material is original and copied in manuscript and typescript formats.
This series is divided into 2 sub-series:

Sub-Series 2: Maggie Jean Chestnut House (Women’s Residence); 1944-1963
