Google scholar
Google Scholar searches a subset of the Web that Google has classified as "scholarly literature". They do not publish a list of chosen sites, and they do not state how often sites are checked. Some important sources are not covered at all. Thus, Google Scholar alone should not be relied on for comprehensive research.
You can also use the UNB Libraries Catalogue (UNB Worldcat) to search for books and articles about your historical event.
Primary Sources (News)
Use the databases below to search for articles from newspapers and news magazines.
You need to find primary sources, meaning articles that were written at or near the time of the historical event you are examining. Use the date limiter search options in each database to focus in on the date range that covers the historical event you chose. Note that some databases might not cover the years you need.
