With the discovery of the powder plot, anno 1605 and down fall of Black Fryers, when an hellish crew of papists met to hear Drury a popish priest, an. 1623. Also the grievous plague, anno, 1625 with poems both Latin and English and the verses of that learned Theodore Beza / by that reverend and eminent man of God, Mr. John Wilson, formerly Christs faithful shepherd in Sudbury, in Suffolk in Great Britain, where these heavenly poems, and spiritual songs were compiled and at London printed, anno 1626 since pastor to the first Church of Christ in Boston in New-England. For the sake of several who have much desired to see and read this work, it is reprinted
