Warm Up For The Harvest

This news post is more than one year old. Some information may have changed.

The 2009 Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival in Fredericton has kicked into gear with another fabulous lineup of performers. Great guitarists are never in short supply at the festival, and this year will be no exception, with performances by Susan Tedeschi, Elvin Bishop, and East Coast fave Matt Anderson, just to name a few.

UNB Libraries has selected a few great jazz and blues guitar tracks from the Naxos Music Library to help you warm up for this year’s Harvest:

Parliament Rolls Of Medieval England (PROME)

This news post is more than one year old. Some information may have changed.

Courtesy of the Gerard V. La Forest Law Library, students, faculty and staff have access to a new resource – Parliament Rolls of Medieval England (PROME).

PROME contains the full-text, original documents from the meetings of the English parliaments from Edward I to Henry VII, covering the years from 1275 to 1504. PROME also offers modern translations and introductions to each individual parliament.

The information is laid out in an easy-to-use format that one can either browse or search. Researchers studying law, history, political science, and more will find this resource to be eminently useful.

You can access PROME from the UNB Libraries’ website at www.lib.unb.ca >> Article & Research Databases >> choose “Parliament Rolls of Medieval England” from the drop down database title list. Access is also available via the Law Library’s website at //law.unb.ca/library/.

If you have any questions about PROME, please feel free to contact Cathy Cotter, Reference/Instruction Librarian in the Law Library, at cacotter@unb.ca or 447-3265.
