Criminal Justice Abstracts now online

We are pleased to announce that the long-awaited and much-anticipated online version of Criminal Justice Abstracts is now available to the University community via the UNB Libraries’ web site.

Criminal Justice Abstracts is a comprehensive international indexing/abstracting database which covers the major journals in criminology and related disciplines. In addition to providing access to journal articles, it also covers books, dissertations, and both governmental and non-governmental reports. Detailed abstracts are provided for each publication, giving an informative summary of research findings, methodology, and conclusions.

The database provides retrospective coverage from 1968 and is updated quarterly. Subject coverage includes:

  • Crime, the Offender, and the Victim
  • Juvenile Justice and Delinquency
  • Police
  • Courts and the Legal Process
  • Adult Corrections
  • Crime Prevention and Control Strategies

Criminal Justice Abstracts is available via the UNB Libraries’ web site under e-Reference Sources.

The print version of Criminal Justice Abstracts is still available at the Harriet Irving Library for the years 1970 to 2002.
