Licensed Data

All Statistics Canada public use microdata files are made available through UNB Libraries' partnership in the Data Liberation Initiative (DLI) and, as such use of these files is subject to the constraints of the DLI licence. Comments or questions regarding the surveys and their use should be directed to the UNB Libraries Data Librarian.

Researchers who wish to explore further analysis using confidential (master) files from Statistics Canada surveys may apply to the Research Data Centre to discuss eligibility for data use under the RDC program.

  • SDA@CHASS
    Set of programs for the documentation and web-based analysis of survey data. In addition to performing web-based analysis, UNB/STU researchers can search, subset and download Statistics Canada Public Use Microdata Files (PUMFs) and documentation.   • Census Analyser
    Allows users to subset variables from the Census Profile tables and the census of population Public Use Microdata Files (PUMFs). Licensed through the University of Toronto (CHASS)

    Provides access to historical versions of CANSIM (CANSIM I & CANSIM II) as well as multiple views (time series, multi-dimensional, OLAP). Licensed through the University of Toronto (CHASS)

    Provides web interfaces for Canadian International Merchandise Trade (CIMT) database and World trade database produced by Statistics Canada, International Trade Division. Licensed through the University of Toronto (CHASS)
