Series 2: Loose Scrapbook Material. -- 1972 - 1992. -- 38 cm of textual material.

Scope and Content: This series consists of 41 file folders containing loose material related to theatre in Fredericton. The material is similar in nature to that found in the scrapbooks of series 1, with each file folder containing information regarding a specific event or production. Most of these folders concern plays performed by Theatre Fredericton, although there are also folders devoted to different theatre-related events.

The items most commonly found include programs from the plays performed, newspaper clippings, thank-you cards (the majority of which were written from members of the cast to Alvin Shaw, who acted as director for most of the plays), posters promoting the play, scenery specifications, floor plans, rehearsal schedules, production schedules, and general information concerning the plays. Also included in various folders are items such as photographs (b&w and colour, mostly documenting scenes from different plays and cast members), short biographies, tickets/festival passes, resumes, adjudications, blank adjudication sheets and adjudication guidelines from drama festivals, a telegram and personal letters, NB Drama Fest final night procedures, poems, tentative casting, an appeal for funds, performing arts magazines, and scripts.

Arrangement is topical according to the specific event or production. Overall file arrangement is chronological

Notes:

Title: Title is based on contents of the series.

Arrangement: Order was imposed by the archivist in line with what Shaw used for similar material in Series 1.

Other: File 41 (c) contains information regarding a play entitled "Skin of Our Teeth" that was not included in individual files for series 1 or 2.
