Series 3. University of New Brunswick Subject Files. -- 1967-1999; predominant 1972- 1999. -- 1.16 m of textual material.

Scope and Content: Series 3 consists of general subject files kept by Buckner concerning both his participation in organizations devoted to the study of history and his individual role as professor of history. Contents include information on conferences such as the Atlantic Canada Studies Conferences I-VIII, Atlantic Provinces in Confederation Conference (1987), and the U. N. B. and Maine Conference (1987). This series also reflects the development of the Canadian Historical Association (1974-1998) through minutes of the Membership Committee, Executive and Council of which Buckner was a significant participant. Other files in this series include history course outlines and exams for courses Buckner taught, as well as Commentaries and Reviews written by him for various academic publications other than Acadiensis.

Arrangement is alphabetical by file title. A portion of the U. N. B. subject files were deposited unsorted. As a result, new files were created for this material and then integrated into the existing arrangement.
