The "Painter's Holiday" was first printed
on Italian handmade paper and one or two copies bound up (one of which I have). As the
presswork was not satisfactory, however, I ordered the entire edition destroyed and it was
then reprinted on French handmade paper. All
of this information is given in my Check List
of
Carman's works under Nos. 79 & 80.
