CAB Direct available through UNB Libraries

The CAB Direct database combines CAB abstracts and CAB abstracts archive into a single database indexing literature in the fields of

plant science
animal science
pathogen, pest, parasite, and weed management
natural resources and ecology
forestry, forest products, and agroforestry
soil science
rural development, tourism, and economic
food science and food products
biotechnology
agricultural engineering

The database is grouped into the following searchable categories: animal sciences, plant sciences, ecology & environmental sciences, agricultural economics & rural studies, human sciences, and leisure, recreation, and tourism. For access go to: http://www.lib.unb.ca/eresources/Indexes.php and choose CAB Direct from the list.
The forestry, forest products, and agroforestry material is still also searchable in Forestscience.info, a separate database also found in the Libraries Indexes and Abstracts list.
PLEASE NOTE: CAB Direct Access is limited to 4 simultaneous users.

Try Biological Abstracts

For the month of October we have access, on a trial basis, to two different interfaces to Biological Abstracts. Both are accessible via the Current Trials link under the e-Resources menu on the UNB Libraries home page (http://www.lib.unb.ca) Or, access the Ebsco interface here: http://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?authtype=ip,uid&profile=ehost&defaultdb=boh and the ISI interface here: http://isiknowledge.com. In order to search the ISI version of Biological Abstracts, Select Biological Abstracts from the drop down menu at the top of the page.
