Copyright In The Classroom Tutorials

The screencasts below provide an overview of copyrighted materials frequently used in university classrooms and explain how to utilize these materials within the limits of copyright legislation and licences.

The individual screencasts function as stand-alone tutorials, but you can view them as a series. In order to access the full features within the screencasts, such as navigation timestamps and annotations, be sure to do the following:

  • Click on "show more," below the video, to use the timestamps in the description field of any video as you would use a table of contents, that is, to navigate across different sections of the video;
  • Use the links in the video’s description field to locate any web content referenced in the video; and
  • Turn on the Annotations feature within your YouTube Settings (the cog icon in the bottom right corner) to view all video features.
