The McColl Methodist Church and the Kirk Presbyterian Church became separate congregations of the United Church of Canada in 1925. In 1943 the two congregations were joined to form the Kirk-McColl United Church of Canada. The McColl congregation was founded by Duncan McColl, a soldier and Methodist clergyman.

The Sunday School Records, Accounts, and all of the Registers, Minutes and Accounts of Kirk Presbyterian Church that are listed in the Table of Contents at the beginning of the reel, were not included in this microfilm reel.
